York Fair , York Fairgrounds, Horticultural Hall, York, PA July 24 & 25, and August 1 & 2, 2026 For the first time, BSP will host an educational booth about the nesting and habitat needs of bluebirds at the York Fair. Nancy Putt, BSP County Coordinator, and Randy Zmolek, active BSP member, request volunteers to talk with people about bluebirds during the two weekends listed above. January 14, 15, and 16, 2027—PA Farm Show (Thursday-Saturday) Location: 2300 North Cameron Street, Harrisburg, PA https://wwwfarmshowpagov/ BSP will participate in a rotating exhibit during the last 3 days of the event on the above dates. One of the area’s biggest and most popular events, and one of BSP’s favorite bluebird educational outreach experiences. This is a fun event for the entire family, with interesting programs, demonstrations, a variety of animals, vendors, and delicious PA food choices offered in the food court. *Volunteers are needed to host the BSP educational/BSP Merchandise Booth. Family Days on the Farm July 25, 2026 (Saturday) 9 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Location: The Farm of Lloyd Petersheim 740 Hartman Station Road, Lancaster, PA BSP supports this annual event called “Family Days on the Farm” every summer when we set up a “Bird Information Booth” and run a “Box- Building” activity for young Amish boys and girls ages 10 through 16. BSP members are needed to answer questions about birds and help youngsters construct nestboxes. April 2 & 3, 2027- 27th Annual BSP Conference (Friday evening and Saturday) Holiday Inn, Morgantown, PA 6170 Morgantown Drive, Morgantown, PA 610-286-3000 BSP is happy to host the 27th Annual conference at the Holiday Inn, Morgantown, in Berks County, PA. The venue is easily accessible from the PA Turnpike. The meeting space, food, and lodging are all available on site. The Annual BSP Conference offers excellent speakers, demonstrations, vendors, a live and silent auction, a delicious luncheon, and an opportunity to learn from and socialize with people who share your love of bluebirds and other native cavity-nesters and enjoy the wonders of the natural world. The event will feature a Friday evening program and social and a full day of activities on Saturday. BSP has reserved a block of rooms at a discount for conference attendees. A special mailing, including registration and itinerary will be sent to all active BSP members in early 2027. Note: The Ned Smith Nature and Arts Festival Event in Millersburg, which BSP usually participates in, is not being held this year. However, they will offer a variety of wonderful outdoor programs, camps, art exhibits, concerts, and special events throughout the year.
